Ultraseal

Exall Group are currently on site at Ultraseal's commercial premises in Slough, Berkshire, undertaking a full waterproofing overlay to a weathered and failing asphalt flat roof across approximately 180m².

The existing asphalt roof had deteriorated significantly, presenting multiple large cracks throughout the surface and providing inadequate weather protection to the building below. Rather than a full strip and replacement, Exall Group specified a Sikaplan SGK single ply membrane overlay — a proven solution for failed asphalt substrates that delivers a fully warranted, high-performance waterproofing layer without the cost and disruption of a complete deck removal.

The Sikaplan SGK membrane is being installed directly over the existing asphalt substrate, heat welded at all seams and fully adhered to create a continuous, watertight surface across the entire 180m² roof area. Sikaplan laminated trims are being installed to all perimeter details, providing a clean, secure edge termination that fully integrates with the new membrane system.

New through wall parapet outlets are also being installed throughout, replacing the existing drainage points and ensuring efficient water management across the roof surface.

All works are being carried out to Sika's full specification, with manufacturer warranty backing on completion.
